Hello, I'm Dr. Joseph Urrea.
I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic at Texas Chiropractic College in 2013. Before that, I received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and later a Masters of Science in Exercise and Health Science from the University of Houston-Clear-Lake. I also received additional training including a Neurosurgery Rotation at St. Joseph's, an Osteopathic Rotation, and a Physical Therapy Rotation (both in Uptown Houston).
I grew up in Sandia, Texas (30 miles from Corpus Christi) and moved to the greater Houston area in 2010. My passion for athletics and sports started while in high school. I also interned with world renowned facility EXOS (formerly Athletes Performance). I learned valuable methodologies on how to provide exceptional chiropractic care along with patient centered rehabilitation.
I enjoy supporting local triathlons, marathons, bike races, endurance competitions, and other races. I've completed 4 Ironman Triathlons, most recently Ironman Texas 2018 in The Woodlands, TX. I'm happily married to Dr. Teresa Urrea, who also is a Doctor of Chiropractic. We have a daughter, Elena, who is a bundle of joy!
